For a leisurely finish to the meal, there is also chicken paitan kamameshi, rice cooked in a pot. It takes around 40 minutes to prepare, so ordering early is a good idea if you plan to have it.
The dashimaki tamago, a rolled omelette made with Ryu eggs, is available with a choice of chicken paitan or seafood broth. It makes a welcome dish between skewers and fried food, as well as a chance to try your preferred broth. Drinks include beer, sake and shochu, along with chu-hi made with fresh lemon or sudachi citrus. With so many cuts to choose from, there is plenty of scope to match your drinks to the meal.
